Empowering Learning is currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate SEN Teacher, to join an outstanding and successful school in Manchester, to start in September 2020.
This is a full time, long-term role, paying up to 120 a day depending upon your level of experience. We are recruiting for an SEN Teacher on behalf of a Special School, which caters for students from 11 -19 years old. This is an OFSTED, ‘Outstanding’ school which caters for children with severe learning difficulties, autism and profound and multiple learning difficulties including complex medical needs. The School The school has excellent facilities in a purpose-built site.
These include specialist rooms including Food Technology, Art/Design and Technology, Science, Life Skills, a Sensory Theatre and Music and Drama Room. All of these areas provide exciting opportunities for their students. The school is based in Greater Manchester, with excellent public transport links and on-site parking facilities. This Special School is looking for an experienced SEN teacher.
You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will work with the Teaching Assistants on the delivery of subjects and curriculum. The Role The role itself will involve supporting several children with profound and multiple learning difficulties helping with the delivery of their curriculum. The successful SEN Teacher will be required to help the student to make progress using Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and being Team Teach trained would be beneficial, however if not Empowering Learning offer full training for this.
