PE Teacher

An exciting opportunity to join an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Bury. Full-time PE teacher. Required from February 2020 or earlier if required. Teaching female pupils across Key Stage 3 and GCSE PE.

Pay in line with teaching scale point ( 24,373 – 40,490). This position is ideal for a PE teacher who is hoping to source a permanent position in the near future. Our client school require an additional member of staff to join the PE department until the end of the academic year and if successful, a permanent contract will be offered. The school has modern PE facilities and equipment and is currently hoping to extend this further.

The incoming teacher will be expected to take on a full timetable alongside full planning and marking responsibilities for pupils aged 11-16. The successful candidate will need to prepare and deliver differentiated PE lessons to meet the needs of learners at varying levels of learning ability. Some pupils may have minor SEN or learning difficulties and therefore, it is important the incoming candidate is confident and comfortable to design lessons to support these pupils. The school are accepting applications from newly qualified and experienced PE teachers.

You must have QTS and a specialism in PE to be considered. Any previous experience with minor SEN and learning difficulties is also desirable however not essential as all induction support will be provided. Our client secondary school is located in Bury and can be accessed via the M62 and A56 from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. For candidates who don’t drive, there are several public transport links from neighbouring areas of Bury such as Bolton, Prestwich and Rochdale.
